A History About Sports Cars

In today’s world, the sports cars are fast, furious and very sleek. They can be fun to own and fun to drive. Of course, they are expensive and need to be kept in excellent condition. They need to be well maintained and protected from all weather conditions. For this reason, it is always advisable to protect it with a good car cover or inside the parking. This would help protect the vehicle from weather and dust. A cover also makes sure that you do not have to wash your car every weekend before you take it out on a long drive. In United States, the craze over the sports car took a little time to catch on, but with time people started to realize the power of these high end cars and its popularity grew like a wild fire. It has been said that it was the American Soldiers of WWII who got the market booming, after their return from the Europe. The Europeans would drive sports cars at that time due to their road infrastructure, they offered great handling as well as great fuel efficiency. At the time when soldier started returning from the war, they started looking for these fast cars out in the market, but they did not get any in America. In fact, no manufacturer was aware that this kind of car would come in demand at any point of time. As a result, import of such cars increased by quite a margin. The model which was most sought after was Morris Garages. The car was versatile, small and still it was easy to maintain. American companies started building these type of cars to compete with the foreign car companies. So, finally in first half of 1950s, General Motors came up with the sports car which was made up of fiber glass – totally new material at that point of time. In the second half of 1950s, Ford came up with the sports car but in a year or so it was realized that Americans were also looking for the comfort in the car that was not available in the European cars. Finally, GM came with the car named Thunderbird that took the American era big into the sports cars. With the time, the sleek sports car became more and more affordable and people started asking for the addition of more comforts. Slowly and steadily, the car became more functional and almost converted into the regular automobile car that is simple to drive with lots of facilities. With the time, the sports cars have become fast, attractive and safe. In today’s era, the highest speed of a car can go up to 450 miles and that is really fast. Imogen Heap – Speeding Cars

One of my favorite songs from the one of my favorite artists. There’s something beautifully nostalgic about this song that moves my heart… I tried to think of a “creative video” for this tune, but yet I couldn’t find any concept that would’ve lived up the beauty of this masterpiece. When I came across a “tire swing picture”, I thought “that’s it” – it’s my personal reflection of this song. I wanted everyone to focus on the lyrics and music, even with their eyes closed, hence just that one humble picture that “tells it all”. To me Imogen Heap is a wonder musician, an Artist in every meaning of that word – I’m glad somehow my posting this song helped get more and more people into her music. It’s about a song, one’s personal moment, a feeling. Hope you don’t mind, Immi.. you deserve every piece of admiration you get. The song is from Goodnight & Go single. I highly recommend Imogen Heap’s latest album “Speak For Yourself” – one of the best in years. www.imogenheap.co.uk www.myspace.com www.youtube.com
