In the second half of 1950s, Ford came up with the sports car but in a year or so it was realized that Americans were also looking for the comfort in the car that was not available in the European cars. Finally, GM came with the car named Thunderbird that took the American era big into the sports cars.

With the time, the sleek sports car became more and more affordable and people started asking for the addition of more comforts. Slowly and steadily, the car became more functional and almost converted into the regular automobile car that is simple to drive with lots of facilities. With the time, the sports cars have become fast, attractive and safe. In today's era, the highest speed of a car can go up to 450 miles and that is really fast.
